Amber Crittenden

INSTRUCTOR

Amber has been dancing at Premiere since she was 4 years old and has been teaching at PDA for about 5 years now. Amber has an Associates of Arts from John Tyler Community College, a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Richmond- where she studied health policy and dance, and she is working toward a second Associates degree for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Throughout her high school career, Amber trained in both ballet and modern dance at the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology and was a member of the school’s dance company, Interface, as well. In addition to Amber’s core dance classes in college at UR, she was a member of the school’s dance team “SpinnURS”, where she performed at televised basketball games and attended community events with the team as well. She loves the contemporary genre, but she is intentional about instilling proper technique in her dancers and teaching them appropriate body mechanics regardless of the style of dance they are studying. Amber is passionate about building strong dancers while cultivating a healthy mindset of self love and confidence. She is excited to be dancing with your dancers this season!
