Kayla Weal

Kayla has grown up training in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, and Acrobatics. She attended Premiere for 4 years after moving to Virginia. While at Premiere she completed the student teaching program teaching ages 3-17 with over 300 hours of volunteering, as well as earning her Acro Arts student teaching certification through Acrobatic Arts. Kayla graduated with a completion of all the Acrobatic Arts levels Primary through Pre Professional 3 and is in the process of getting her Acrobatic Arts Teaching Certification. Kayla competed competitively for 10 years, Winning Regional Championships and Titles including Mrs. Senior Elite Ignite in 2023 and 2024, and Mrs. Senior Elite Expressions 2024. She’s attended Nationals and countless masters classes. She’s won scholarships, improv competitions, and awards for outstanding performances from judges. Outside of competition she’s gone through Summer Intensives and theatrical productions as well as volunteering through Miracles in Motion which has taught her inclusivity, patience, and self awareness, all things a teacher needs to be more present in the classroom. As it’s her 1st year as a Premiere teacher she looks forward to sharing her training with her students and peers who she’s watched grow as young dancers. She’s looking forward to welcoming all the new faces this year at Premiere!
